A lot of people across the globe consume a lot of meat. This is understandable as meat is delicious and makes a meal. However, not only is excessive consumption of meat bad for you, producing it is bad for the environment. With healthy living and lifestyle being pushed by the government and the world in general, many meat lovers are likely to try and substitute to try stay healthier.
Plant-based meals are becoming popular, which is why the Beyond Burger – plant-based burger had us interested.
Beyond Burger have introduced the first plant-based burger that tastes and looks, like a fresh beef burger. It has all the juicy, meaty delicious taste of a traditional burger, but comes with the benefits of a health plant meal.There’s a meaty flavour in the patty and would do for people who are meat-free but still interested in meat replacements here and there.
If your diet is vegetarian or vegan or you are a pescetarian, these burgers might not be for you. They replicate meat so closely in taste and texture even though they are plant-based. A plant-based diet is also more likely to result in weight loss than a vegan diet. That’s because vegan diets eliminate animal products but do not restrict calories, fats or sugars.
We enjoyed this plant-based burger as a great lunch option on Meat-free Mondays. It’s also a great option if are consuming no meat but still crave a taste of something familiar.
