Gauteng residents wishing to apply for a driver’s license or renew it may no longer go to the traffic department to do so.
The government announced that all residents should apply on the government website on https://online.natis.gov.za/#/.
The NaTis system offers available dates and times in and around Gauteng areas, to avoid people having to queue for long while trying to secure a date.
Sadly, this booking system is not working for everyone.
Driving school operators at the Randburg Licensing centres have expressed their frustration over the NaTis online booking system. They say transport officials are not understanding the frustration which is caused by the system not only for them but for motorists. They have been speaking to Kaya News at the centre today where operations have not been disrupted due to the strike action.
Members of the National Driving School Association of South Africa are on strike, demanding that the government address their concerns. Demonstrations are taking place at the RTMC offices in Centurion, followed by a motorcade to the MEC’s office in Johannesburg.
