Here are tips to get your child ready for school in the morning:
Get everyone to bed as early as possible
If you have to wake your children up in the morning, they are not getting enough sleep. Every hour of sleep less than they require reduces their access to brain function by a year, implying that they act a year younger. Make it a top priority to start bedtime sooner if you’re dragging your child out of bed.
Complete chores the night before
Do things the night before to make the morning routine less hectic. Prepare lunch boxes after supper, for example, and store them in the refrigerator overnight. After you’ve cleaned up from supper, prepare the breakfast table for the next morning. If possible, have family members bathe/shower/wash their hair the night before. Collect permission slips, lunch money, and notebooks. Encourage your kids.
Make sure you get five minutes of relaxed snuggle time with each child as they wake up
In the morning, it sounds impossible. However, if everything else has been completed, you can take a five-minute break. That time spent bonding with your child will completely alter your morning. You fill your child’s cup before the day begins, and you reconnect after the night’s separation, which motivates your youngster to cooperate rather than argue with you. This is the most effective strategy to avoid morning whining.
Realize that kids need your help to move through the routine
Give your child a nice start to his day, and you should regard your duty as assisting him in moving through the morning ritual pleasantly, rather than simply screaming instructions. That may involve bringing his clothing downstairs with you and having him dress next to you as you nurse the baby so you can acknowledge him.
