2017 might as well have been called the “Year of the baby bump” with more “Surprise! I’m pregnant” moments than we can recall. Here’s a recap of celebrity pregnancies in 2017:
- EVA LONGORIA & JOSE BASTON
The 42-year old actress is four months into her first pregnancy and is said to be expecting a boy. It will be her husband’s fourth child but who’s counting?
- KHLOE KARDASHIAN & TRISTAN THOMPSON
We weren’t really surprised by this announcement as the rumour mills have been sending smoke signals of this pregnancy for months. But, Khloe officially made the announcement on her social media this week and this will be her first child. Khloe has made no secret of her desire to become a mom.
- KIM KARDASHIAN & KANYE WEST
No, this post was not intended to be a Kardashian tribute, but the list would not be complete without acknowledging Kim and Kanye’s third child. Earlier this year, Kim was told she would not survive a third natural birth or pregnancy, which devastated the reality star. She expressed her desire to have a third baby and the couple opted to hire a surrogate, who is reportedly three months pregnant.
- CHRISSY TEIGEN & JOHN LEGEND
Chrissy took to social media while her husband was in South Africa on tour, to announce her pregnancy, it was the cutest video announcement ever. The couple’s first child, Luna, was asked what is in her mommy’s tummy and the response “a baba,” melted hearts instantly.
- GAIL & KABELO MABALANE
The South African celebrity couple announced that they would be welcoming their second child in 2018. Gail calls Kabelo a really hands-on father who is over-the-moon that their family is growing. The pair who were eager to have a second child, trusted the timing of the universe and are thrilled with their blessing.
- MONA MONYANE & KHULU SKENJANA
The actress received some backlash on social media with the announcement of her second pregnancy. This because social media following felt it was too soon after the birth of her first child. The star’s first born was under the age of one when 20 weeks pregnant with baby two. Mona took to twitter to silence the haters.
- KATE MIDDLETON & PRINCE WILLIAM
The royals are expecting baby number three, with news of the pregnancy breaking on 04th September. The announcement may have come as a surprise to royal fans who were convinced the couple’s perfect family was complete with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
