DA Mayors Dr Mpho Phalatse (Johannesburg) and Tania Campbell (Ekurhuleni) have recently announced the members of their mayoral committee.
It has been over two or three weeks since the new DA Mayors were elected, and although some are excited about the new change, others have been worried about the delay in electing MMCs especially in Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni.
Dr Tim Maake, a local governance expert, as well as TK Pooe, a political analyst who is attached to the Wits School of Governance, joined Phemelo Motene to share their thought on the new leadership in both Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni as well as the expectations and challenges that stand before them.
