On the 12th of March, Patrice Motsepe became president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) when the ran unopposed in elections in Morocco.
The Mining magnate is Africa’s ninth-richest man with a wealth of $2.9 billion according to Forbes magazine, he is also the owner of 2016 African champions, Mamelodi Sundowns for almost two decades.
He officially becomes the seventh (7th) person to occupy the position of CAF President and begins his four-year term.
