Operation Dudula was today, 7th March, intensifying their protest against undocumented foreign nationals at the Pan Africa Mall in Alexandra township.
There was high tension as businesses were being closed down as members of the operation clashed with migrant street vendors.
Today’s march was joined by concerned residents, who moved from shop to shop to remove illegal foreign nationals operating in the township.

Operation Dudula has made it their mission to clean streets with illegal foreigners in South African townships, they claim most criminal activity is committed by undocumented foreign nationals.
They were also protesting against the preferential employment of migrant workers in South Africa.
Kaya News was in Alexandra Township amid the tensions.

A social media user also shared a video of migrant street vendors that were evicted by the Pan Africa Mall in Alexandra.
The protesters were heard chanting ‘We are not going anywhere. We are here to work’.
