It’s been a week since the Moti brothers were kidnapped in a hijacking en-route to school and there have been no developments as to their whereabouts.
The boys, Zia, Alaan, Zayyad and Zidan Moti from Polokwane, were kidnapped after hijackers intercepted the vehicle they were in.
Their parents, Nazim and Shakira Moti, are wealthy business owners in Polokwane. Police Minister Bheki Cele said the brothers kidnapping has proven to be a difficult case.
The 4 brothers were reportedly kidnapped by 7 gunmen and there has been public outcries calling for their safe return.
To date the family have not received a ransom demand and investigators have made no breakthroughs in their case.
They attend Curro Heuwelkruin in Dalmada and were being chauffeured to school by a driver. According to reports, the driver was not harmed in the kidnapping.
Cele said the brothers kidnapping is given top priority with a multi-approach task-team that is working around the clock.
