Family, friends and colleagues gather in Sandton to honour the life of slain broadcaster Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock

The memorial service of late South African broadcaster Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock is currently underway in Sandton, north of Johannesburg, where family, friends, and members of the media industry have gathered to honour his life and legacy.
DJ Warras was shot and killed in the Johannesburg CBD on Tuesday, 16 December 2025. Police have since launched a manhunt for three suspects believed to be involved in the killing.
Delivering an emotional tribute, his sister, Nicole Stock, described DJ Warras as a selfless individual who embraced people from all walks of life.
She remembered him as a kind, generous and giving person who touched many lives through both his work and his character.
