A community in Mtubatuba in Kwa-Zulu Natal recently went on a looting spree on the N2.
This happened after a truck delivering fresh meat on Wednesday, 16 March got in an accident and stopped working on the N2 just south of Mtubatuba.
The meat truck reportedly collided with a flatbed truck, which ended up down the embankment at the side of the roadway.

Videos of the looting which were shared on the same day on social media show the N2 coming to a standstill as traffic backed up for the duration of the looting.
Community members are seen carrying large fresh pieces of frozen lamb, pork and beef.
Police arrived on the scene promptly in an attempt to disperse the crowds, but the meat truck was liberated of its contents in minutes as the looters quickly made off with the carcasses.
No injuries were reported, but hordes of people descended on the meat truck within minutes.
