WATCH: Barack Obama has officially endorsed Kamala Harris for US President.
The nation’s two most popular Democrats, former president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama, have backed Kamala Harris in her presidential candidacy, providing the vice president with the anticipated but nonetheless significant support.
The 2024 election will be on Tuesday, 5 November 2024. The winner will serve a term of four years in the White House, starting in January 2025.
With President Joe Biden abandoning his reelection campaign to support his running mate against Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump, Harris is gaining ground as the party’s front-runner.
The endorsement was made public on Friday morning in a video that featured the former first couple giving Harris a joint phone call.
“We called to say Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office,”
