Tshepo Kgobe has been appointed as the new Gautrain CEO.
Kedibone Diale-Tlabela, the MEC for Transport and Logistics in Gauteng, has announced that Tshepo Kgobe would take over as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Gautrain Management Agency (GMA) on February 1st, 2024.
The current incumbent, William Dachs, will resign on January 31, 2024, to complete his term.
In 2014, he began working for the GMA as the Senior Executive Manager in charge of the Technical Services Unit. In 2020, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
The department acknowledged Kgobe’s involvement in the agency’s creative and visionary ideas.
He was a member of the senior leadership group that made sure the GMA provided the province with cutting-edge and intelligent mobility solutions.
“On behalf of the Gauteng Provincial Executive, GMA Board, and the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport, we congratulate Tshepo Kgobe on his appointment.
“We believe his strong leadership will help steer GMA to greater heights, maintain its standards of excellence, innovation and good governance, and cement its position as a Centre of Excellence in the rail and public transport sector,” said Diale-Tlabela.
