It has been a hectic week in the United Kingdom following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning queen in Britain, who passed away last week Thursday at the age of 96.
Her passing has sparked a massive interest on the internet and people have started listing Queen Elizabeth artefacts for sale.
A teabag reportedly used by the late Queen was auctioned on Ebay as a tribute to her 70-year reign.
According to the user on the Ebay listing, the teabag was stolen from Windsor Castle in 1998. It is currently going for $12,000 (R 240 000) on the online store.

According to the seller’s description on the online store wrote:
“This is the very teabag you might have seen on CNN in late 1998. It was used by Queen Elizabeth II Regina Britannia and smuggled out of Windsor Castle by the special exterminator who was called in to help Her Majesty cope with the great London roach infestations of the 1990s.”
The listing also had a certificate of Authentticity.
