- The recall specifically targets items with a sell-by date of 9 August 2026 and a use-by date of 12 August 2026.
- Shoppers are warned not to eat the yoghurts and can return them to any SPAR store for a full refund.
SPAR has announced an immediate recall of several yoghurt lines following concerns over contamination and premature spoilage.
The affected ranges include SPAR Fat Free, Low Fat, Double Cream, Indulge Double Cream, and Active Breakfast Drinking Yoghurt lines.
The retailer explained that the issue stemmed from a manufacturing fault on the assembly line.
SPAR confirmed that a machine malfunction during production caused a packaging integrity issue that went undetected.
Customers who purchased the affected batches are urged to check the packaging dates and avoid consuming the product, as doing so could cause illness.
The supermarket chain has advised shoppers to return the items to their nearest branch, where staff will issue a full refund or exchange.
