The SABC has launched a new streaming service that allows Mzansi to stream their local favourites on demand.
Just one year after the launch of TelkomOne the service is cancelled and has a new owner, SABC.
Users of the TelkomOne service were notified that the service will not be available after 17 November and that an exciting new service will be launched. The new service was announced at a media launch earlier today. The broadcaster acquired the TelkomOne streaming platform which is now called SABC+.
The platform offers SABC viewers access to their favourite TV series such as Uzalo, Generations the Legacy and The Estate.
It also offers radio, news, sports, and documentaries with the added benefit of on-demand-content through its catch-up option.
The streaming service is available on the SABC+ website as well as android and apple devices.
Although the app is not currently available in play stores, the SABC says it should be available in time for the soccer world cup.
