Springbok trophy tour bus crashes following brake failure.
An accident occurred on the open-top bus that transported the Springbok squad during their World Cup trophy tour in East London over the weekend.
According to reports by News24, the bus was traveling on the N6 in the direction of the Free State while still bearing the Springbok logo.
The bus had a busy schedule since the boks landed in East London on Sunday.
The bus reportedly left the road and struck a gate outside Maletswai, which used to be Aliwal North on its way to Johannesburg after the Springboks concluded their SA tour in East London as a result of brake failure.

The bus has reportedly been subsequently removed from the site as it was not carrying any passengers.
The publication added that Unathi Binqose, a spokesperson for the Eastern Cape Department of Transport, verified the incident.
