A family in Polokwane is desperately appealing for help following the kidnapping of four brothers. Kidnappers snatched the boys on Wednesday.
The boys, Zia, Alaan, Zayyad and Zidan, attend Curro Heuwelkruin in Dalmada. Their parents, Nazim and Shakira Moti, are wealthy business owners in the area.
Hijackers intercepted a vehicle the boys were travelling in. The boys were reportedly on their way to their school in Polokwane at the time.
Police found the 64-year-old driver and the vehicle a short while later. Police also recovered the boys’ cell phones. The suspects dumped the devices in Flora Park.
The driver claims that two vehicles cordoned off his BMW at the Tzaneen bypass. He says about seven men, dressed in white overalls, got out of the vehicle and began firing at the BMW.

The men allegedly forced the boys out of the BMW and into a Mercedes-Benz and drove off. The suspects’ vehicles were last seen travelling on the R81 out of Polokwane.
The kidnappers have not made a ransom demand as yet, reported IOL.
The motive behind the kidnapping is part of a police investigation.
Police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says they do not have information at this stage that could determine the motive.
Anyone with information relevant to the kidnapping case can contact police on the 24-hour Crime Stop number, 086 001 0111.
Concerned communities have also turned to Twitter in the hopes of tracking down the boys. Others have shared messages of support for the family.
Even though Zia,Alaan, Zayyad & Zidan are not my kids, I can't get a wink of sleep knowing that their parents Nazim and Shakira must be frantic with worry about them. We must do everything to get the #MotiBrothers back. Let's get #MotiBrothers trending in SA. @CyrilRamaphosa pic.twitter.com/khKjh5RHeW

Let’s keep the Moti siblings in our prayers. They were kidnapped in Polokwane yesterday. Kidnappings have become a major problem in South Africa and these gangs are dangerous. In Nov last year. #CrimeWatch on @eNCA focused on kidnappings. WATCH: https://t.co/6Xa3kwopfN pic.twitter.com/RVCZRbDozV

4 brothers from #Polokwane still missing, please pray that they are found safe and that those responsible are brought to book. If we let this sort of thing be it will become the norm like hijackings and rape. Draw a line in the sand! Pray and put pressure on @SAPoliceService pic.twitter.com/I11OIgNLcV
