Oupa Segalwe, the public protector’s spokesperson, has left his position “in order to pursue other interests.”
The Public Protector SA (PPSA) office confirmed Segalwe’s departure after 13 years of service in a press release issued on Tuesday.
Segalwe departs the position while the suspended public protector Adv Busisiwe Mkhwebane faces a parliamentary impeachment hearing to examine her eligibility for the position.
