It’s always interesting to discover your family history, and Meghan Markle appears to be doing just that after disclosing on her Archetypes podcast that she is 43% Nigerian.
Issa Rae, the Nigerian-American author Ziwe Fumudoh, and the lecturer Emily Bernards all appeared on her most recent episode.
She revealed to the members of her panel that she completed a genealogy test to learn a little more about her ancestry.

“I just had my genealogy done a couple of years ago; I’m 43% Nigerian,” she said
The Duchess of Sussex said she’s “going to start to dig deeper into all of this because anyone that I’ve told, especially Nigerian women, are just like, what?”
She also revealed that she “started to understand what it was like to be treated like a black woman” when she began dating Harry.
