As temperatures and wet weather conditions continues for Gauteng and parts of the country. Lesotho has recorded its first snowfall for the year.
The snowfall was confirmed by Lesotho Tourism who shared a video of the soft snowfall over the AfriSki Snow Resort.
A light dusting of snow was expected to fall in Lesotho, Drakensberg as well as the Eastern Cape on Friday.
Staff and guests at the Lesotho resort woke up on Saturday and Sunday morning to a blanket of snow over the mountains.
The first cold-front of the year has brought non-stop rain to Gauteng, Mpumalanga as well as KwaZulu-Natal.
Several weather warnings of flooding and excessive rain has been issued for the country by the South African Weather Services.
Provinces that are likely to be affected by the frigid conditions include, Gauteng, KZN, Eastern and Northern Cape, Free State, North-West and Mpumalanga.
The cold, wet and snow conditions are due to a low pressure-system that is situated over central parts of the country.
It's currently snowing in Lesotho.
