Kidnapped municipal manager, Maggie Skhosana and her driver, Gugu Mtsweni have been found alive in Diepsloot.
The district manager for Nkangala in Mpumalanga and her driver were kidnapped last week at the municipality’s gates.
Skhosana who is wheelchair bound is currently at the Steve Biko Hospital undergoing medical assessments.
It is believed the two were kidnapped by a group of men who were impersonating police officers.
The men reportedly demanded a R5 million ransom for the safe return of the municipal manager.
Both Skhosana and the driver were found on Thursday morning, 27 October and were allegedly dumped in bushes along the N14 in Diepsloot.
A vehicle with a wheelchair was found abandoned at a nearby mine.
Police say circumstances surrounding the kidnapping are still being investigated and the suspects are still at large.
