Friends and professionals in the arts sector have remembered celebrated actor Jamie Bartlett as a person committed to mentoring young creatives.
They say Bartlett always took it upon himself to help up-and-coming actors find their voice.

A memorial service was held in honour of the acclaimed actor last night at the Zone 6 Venue in Diepkloof, Soweto.

The actor passed away last month at the age of 55. Bartlett was laid to rest in Cape Town last week.
Friend to Jamie Bartlett, Steve Karma says the actor was incredibly invested in young actors trying to make their mark.
