IFP President, Velenkosini Hlabisa has given an update on Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi’s condition in hospital, saying the Zulu Traditional Prime Minister is doing well.
In a statement to media on Tuesday, 08 August, Hlabisa said he received an update on the Prince’s condition, and he’s doing well.
Hlabisa thanked God for keeping his protection over Prince Buthelezi, who was admitted to hospital towards the end of July, to undergo a procedure for back pain management.
Whilst the Prince’s condition wasn’t critical at the time, a few days after the procedure, there were some complications, and the 94-year old struggle icon was readmitted to hospital and has been in the Intensive Care Unit since.
The duration of the Prince’s hospital stay will depend on his recovery, and the family have asked for him to be allowed time to rest and recover fully before his 95th birthday on 27 August.
