Genesis Maternity Clinic is closing its doors at the end of May.
Johannesburg-based Genesis Maternity Center will close its doors at the end of May.
According to the private maternity clinic, this is because they are unable to increase their service in order to guarantee the long-term viability of the clinic.
The independent healthcare facility claimed that it had advised clients who had long relied on it to deliver their babies to find alternative treatment going forward.
“We acknowledge that those who have entrusted us to support them in the birth of their babies will be extremely disappointed about the closure. We are in the process of informing those who have pre-booked admissions for after the closure date so that alternative arrangements can be made with their midwifery team”, said Alet Rheeder, Unit Manager

This is so sad.
December 2020, I gave birth to our last born at Genesis Maternity Clinic with Sis Xoli as my mid-wife. I had the most amazing pregnancy/birthing/post experience that I wish for other Moms. Genesis was not built by Life, I hope someone will invest and take it to the next level
