The Gauteng Department of Health (GDoH) has said that it will look into a complaint that a patient at Johannesburg’s Helen Joseph Hospital made.
This follows a patient’s disclosure of a hospital video that purportedly showed the horrifying care that sick patients were receiving there.
A well-known talk show host from South Africa named Tom London shared from his hospital bed the situation of how he was treated at the hospital, Tom shared a video following nine days of rigorous therapy that the medical staff and nurses are uncaring and callous. He asserted in the video that in his whole life, he had never witnessed such a degree of disregard for people.
“I’ve been in a hospital bed for nine days now going through seven shades of medical hell but today I’m strong enough to let my friends know I’m conscious and fighting this. Doctors here, you are giving Doctors in South Africa a bad name. I am so angry with you. This is the Helen Joseph Circus Hospital, where Doctors experiment on you,” Tom said.
