Police arrested four suspects, including a gardener and domestic worker employed by the elderly man whose body was found in a shallow grave.
The 78-year old man was reported missing by his tenant on 16 April.
Two other men were arrested along with the man’s employees for kidnapping, murder and defeating the ends of justice.
The shallow grave the victim’s body was found in was in his backyard. It is alleged the elderly man was killed in the garden and then buried.
Police say the domestic worker and gardener pointed out where the man was buried.
This after the man’s white VW Polo was discovered moving around Johannesburg and his bank cards were being used.
An investigation ensued which led police to discover the man’s body and arrest the four suspects.
According to police all four are undocumented Malawian citizens and are expected to appear in court on Thursday, 28 April.
