Busisiwe Mkhwebane, the former public protector and EFF MP, has formally joined the MK party.
Busisiwe Mkhwebane is a South African barrister and prosecutor who served as the fourth Public Protector of South Africa from October 2016 until her impeachment in September 2023.
Following her impeachment, she served as an EFF representative in the National Assembly of South Africa from October 2023 until 16 October 2024, one year after joining the party.
She was revealed as a new member at a media event on Friday, along with the party’s freshly selected provincial leaders.
Mkhwebane was announced as MK Party Convener in the province of Mpumalanga.
