Former One Direction member Liam Payne passed away at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after falling from the third-floor balcony of his room.
Officials in Argentina said they discovered Payne’s body after an emergency crew responded to a call on Wednesday.
The circumstances around his untimely death are still unclear at this stage.
Just hours before his death, the 31-year-old shared a video on social media where he was seen enjoying brunch.
Liam Payne was a British singer, songwriter, and former member of the internationally famous boy band One Direction.
Born on August 29, 1993, in Wolverhampton, England, Payne first gained public attention when he auditioned for the UK talent show The X Factor in 2008, although he did not make it far. He returned to the show in 2010, where he was grouped with four other contestants—Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik—to form One Direction.
The group became a global sensation, releasing chart-topping albums and hit singles like What Makes You Beautiful and Story of My Life.
