The KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Durban confirmed on Thursday that the highly anticipated trial of Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla is scheduled to commence in November.
Pre-trial proceedings are set to begin in August.
Zuma-Sambudla is facing charges of incitement to commit terrorism and public violence relating to the 2021 July unrest.
She appeared in high spirits during the court session this morning, sharing light moments with her legal counsel, Dali Mpofu.
While her father, former President Jacob Zuma, was absent, prominent members and supporters of the MK Party filled the public gallery.

National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga revealed that the defense team, led by Dali Mpofu, had indicated their intention to request National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP) Shamila Batohi to reconsider the prosecution.
Zuma-Sambudla denies the charges, calling them politically motivated.
Mhaga clarified the NPA’s position, stating, “In terms of the NPA act, an NDPP can only review a decision to prosecute or not after relevant consultations. The NDPP has to make an independent decision after examining what both the defence and DPP has presented, then make an independent decision after taking into account a number of considerations.”
