Doctors are reportedly concerned over the average penis sizes which they record as having grown significantly over the past 30-years.
Experts reveal why this may not exactly be a good thing, although it’s what most men wish for.
Recent research shows that the growth spurt that has occurred in the average penis size is linked to unhealthy habits, like junk food binges and a sedentary lifestyle.
“Erect penile length is getting longer, growing from an average 4.8 inches (12.19 cm) over the last 29-years.”
Dr. Michael Eisenberg, author of the study says any development is concerning because our reproductive system is one of the most important pieces of human biology.
“If we’re seeing this fast of a change, it means something powerful is happening to our bodies. Given the trends we’d seen in other measures of men’s reproductive health, we thought there could be a decline in penile length due to the same environmental exposures.”
Dr. Eisenberg’s study has been published in the World Journal of Men’s Health and the Stanford University study analyzed data from 75 studies with over 55 000 men from 1992 to 2021.
According to the study the average penis sizes has grown by a huge 24% over almost 30-years.
More research will need to be done to confirm the findings and, if confirmed determine the cause of the increase in length.
Apart from unhealthy lifestyle habits, chemical exposure to pesticides and hygiene products may be contributing to bigger penile length.
