Race officials confirmed numerous instances of runners requiring medical assistance for exhaustion, dehydration, and various injuries ranging from sprains to more severe muscle strains. Medical tents along the route were kept busy throughout the day, attending to thousands of participants.
Despite these incidents, the CMA maintains that its comprehensive planning and rapid response systems were effective in managing the safety and well-being of the tens of thousands of athletes who tackled the ultimate human race.
