Minister of Police Bheki Cele updated the media on the security measures in place to ensure the certificate handover ceremony of King Misuzulu KaZwelithini is safe and secure.
It is anticipated that 48 000 people would attend the ceremony tomorrow at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
“The certificate handover ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, 29 October 2022, and is expected to be attended by over 48 thousand VIPs, monarchs, dignitaries, and guests,” said Cele’s spokesperson Lirandzu Themba.
Cele addressed a police parade in addition to receiving a briefing on the security measures in place.

He has promised that Saturday’s coronation will be one of the safest events the nation has ever hosted.
For security concerns, he would say how many cops were on the ground, but he did say that they were drawn from a variety of units, including the public order police, traffic control, and tactical reaction teams, and that they would also be keeping an eye on the sky at all times.
