The EFF have confirmed that the body of missing Hillary Gardee was found in Nelspruit, on Tuesday, 3 May.
This after her family offered a R100 000 reward for their daughter’s safe return.
Hillary was reported missing on Friday, 29 April after she disappeared from a supermarket.
She was accompanied by her adopted 3-year old child who was fortunately unharmed and returned safely to the family.
“Her kindness and generosity was evident in her commitment to adopt and care for the 3-year old child. She looked after the child as her own, an inspiring act for a woman of such a young age.”
Her body was discovered abandoned in a callous and cruel manner.
In a statement issued by the EFF, Hillary’s death appears to be an act of Gender-Based Violence. Whilst the cause of her death is at this stage unknown, the party said it was unfortunate her life had to end in this manner.
Hillary Gardee was the daughter of former EFF Secretary-General Godrich Gardee.
The EFF have passed its condolences to the Gardee family during this devastating time.
