Advocate Malesela Teffo, the former defence attorney for four of the defendants in Senzo Meyiwa’s murder trial, has filed a lawsuit for defamation of character and crimen injuria.
He opened a case against singer Kelly Khumalo’s lawyer Magdalene Moonsamy and EFF leader Julius Malema.
The Citizen has reportedly been informed by Captain Mavela Masondo, a spokesman for the Gauteng police, that Teffo had filed a crimen injuria report at the Brixton and Johannesburg Central police stations.
Both cases are being looked into right now.

The EFF has released a statement in response to Adv Teffo’s lawsuit where they said he is an embarrassment to the profession wrote
“Teffo is an embarrassment to the legal profession because he has used the tragedy of the late Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Mayiwa to build a profile for himself.
“It is an objective fact that Malesela Teffo would not be a person of interest to the public or the media if it was not for the never-ending case of Senzo Meyiwa, and since he has been removed from that process, he is seeking other avenues to remain a topic of discussion,” read the statement.
