8 suspects have been arrested for being in possession of Eskom cables at an estimated street value of R2.5 million.
A joint operation by Crime Intelligence, K9 Unit and Flying Squad led to the recovery of the cables and subsequent arrest of the 8 men.

SAPS officials seized 6 rolls of cables, and the suspects will appear in the Blue Downs Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 29 June to face charges.
The suspects are between the ages of 29 and 49-years old and will face charges for possession of stolen goods, contravention of the Second Hand Goods Act and Contravening Infrastructure Criminal Amendment Act.
