Natasha Thahane has opened up about being ‘scared of boys’ which is why she avoided dating in high school. In an interview with Moonchild Sanelly on The Madness Method, the South African actress confessed that her mother had her when she was young, which meant her grandmother and family were protective over her.
“My mom had me when she was 19 so she had to like finish school and my grandmother was always there to guide me, cause I am a girl child, I mean if you already have a girl child who has a kid at 19, now you’re already trying to protect this girl child as well because you don’t want them to repeat,” said Thahane.
Natasha who stars in the Netflix series Blood and Water is dating Orlando Pirates star, Thembinkosi Lorch. The pair recently squashed rumours that they had broken up after Natasha removed a video she posted on Lorch’s birthday.
The actress also shared that she doesn’t shoot her shot and while she flirts, she doesn’t entertain flirts.
“I hardly shoot my shot hey…I flirt, but I don’t entertain the flirts, like I never dated in high school, I was scared of boys and cause of my mom having me at a young age as well I was always scared because they always made it seem like ‘oh my gosh’ they’re going to mess up your life,” said Thahane.
Season 2 of Blood and Water streams on Netflix from 24 September.
