Rap sensations Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest were set to grace the stage at People’s Park in Durban as part of the African Throne tour. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances prevented them from delivering their anticipated performance.
In a heartfelt apology to their fans, the pair explained that unforeseen circumstances prevented them from delivering their performances, despite their best efforts.
“Durban, we are really sorry that we weren’t able to perform today. The sound desk got damaged due to rain, and after a number of attempts to try and recover the sound, we had to make the tough decision of cancelling the show.”
According to their statement, their team is working to see how to best remedy this. “Thank you for your support, and we will keep you posted. Again, we’re so sorry,” the statement read.
Nasty C explains why he punched a fan
Nasty C made headlines earlier this month for punching a fan during a performance in Zambia. This incident left fans shocked, as Nasty C has always displayed a laid-back demeanor throughout his career. In a recent interview with Nandi Madida on her Apple Music show Africa Now, the rapper revealed that his reaction was driven by paranoia.
“I think it’s just that constant paranoia, man, of not knowing who you can trust,” he said. “Plus, you gotta think too; all the energy is all the way through the roof; tension; there’s nerves behind me getting on stage; there’s just all these things that are going on at the same time.
