Kendrick Lamar was the biggest winner at this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards

K-Dot has had a successful year despite not releasing an album since May of last year, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.

At the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, Kendrick Lamar reaffirmed his reign as “King Kendrick” and took home the top prize.
At the annual awards ceremony, which was broadcast on Tuesday, October 10, and held at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center on October 3, the Compton native won four accolades in all.

The BET Hip Hop Awards was Hip Hop’s greatest night celebrating the year’s top songs and videos, along with the biggest and most dedicated hustlers in the business.

Along with his longtime partner Dave Free, Kendrick won every category in which he was nominated, including Video Director of the Year, Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, and Hip Hop Artist of the Year.
