South African rapper K.O has released a special new song titled King Size a tribute to the late AKA. The song’s release holds special significance, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the day K.O and AKA shot the music video for Run Jozi.
AKA’s verse on King Size was recorded just a week before his tragic passing in Durban. K.O revealed that the two rappers were actively working on a joint album at the time.
On Father’s Day this year, DJ Zinhle, shared heartfelt messages on social media. She expressed gratitude to her husband, Murdah Bongz for being an incredible father to their daughter Asante. She also sent a message to AKA, acknowledging his absence but cherishing their shared memories.
“Happy Father’s Day @murdahbongz, you are the most incredible man and world’s greatest father to our children,” said Zinhle.
“The babies and I love you so much, we feel so blessed to be led by such a kind & thoughtful man. Wishing you more love, success & laughter, I couldn’t do this without you boo. I love the way you love us. Thank you for putting our family first.”
She also sent a Father’s Day message to AKA, saying, “Sending Father’s Day wishes to heaven. Your absence is felt deeply, but your spirit continues to shine this Father’s Day through our memories and stories. Kairo misses you every day.”
