De Mthuda is gearing up for what he calls his most personal project to date — Mthuthuzeli, set for release on 30 April 2025.
For Mthuthuzeli Gift Khoza, better known as De Mthuda, this album is much more than just another milestone. It’s a raw, unfiltered journey through every high, low, and beat that shaped him.
“Mthuthuzeli is me—every scar, every beat, every damn fight,” he says. “I’m giving it all on April 30. This is not just my story—it’s ours. Let’s tear it up together.”
Over the years, De Mthuda has taken Amapiano to the global stage.
Mthuthuzeli promises a heavier bass, harder-hitting drums, and deeper emotions.
Fans can pre-save and pre-add the album now.
Born in Vosloorus, Johannesburg, De Mthuda rose to prominence with his 2019 hit single Shesha Geza, which achieved gold status and earned a nomination for Record of the Year at the South African Music Awards.
Since then, he has released several successful albums, including Ace of Spades (a collaboration with Ntokzin), The Landlord, and Story To Tell, featuring collaborations with notable Amapiano artists such as Sir Trill, Daliwonga, Kabza De Small, and Njelic.
