Master KG, a high-flying South African music producer, is gaining international acclaim and flying the South African flag higher and higher. Master KG makes the #30under30 Forbes Africa list. The music producer’s career is soaring to new heights. With collaborations with global singers, DJs and billboards in Times Square, New York, the stars have finally aligned in his favour.
It all began when his tune “Jerusalema” went viral and had everyone dancing and joyful even during a worldwide pandemic. Last week, he released a new tune called “Shine Your Light,” which he co-wrote with international music superstars Akon and David Guetta.
The song is presently charting throughout the world, with around 1 million views across numerous streaming platforms. The music producer has been named to Forbes Africa’s “30 Under 30” list, adding another feather to his crown.
The 2021 list, which was announced on June 1 and is in its seventh year, comprises what are described as ground-breaking young entrepreneurs and innovators. The Jerusalema hitmaker took to social media to announce the news. Master KG joins other South Africans on the list, including creative and digital influencer, Mihlali Ndamase.
