KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) premier Thami Ntuli of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) has taken the oath of office.
He has held the positions of chairperson of the province’s South African Local Government Association (SALGA) as well as mayor of the King Cetshwayo District Municipality and Nkandla.
Ntuli who has promised to fight crime and the improvement of community safety was chosen last week to lead the KZN provincial government in the seventh administration by a coalition consisting of the IFP, African National Congress (ANC), Democratic Alliance (DA), and National Freedom Party (NFP).

Ntuli who has decided to move the community and safety department to his office also took the time to announce his cabinet which is also made up of representatives from the IFP, ANC, NFP, and DA.
