“He sounds like a second-hand car salesman” – Patrica De Lille on DA Leader Steeinhuisen.
Over the weekend Patricia De Lille, the leader of the Good Party, became the most recent to be criticized by John Steenhuisen, who accused her party of obsessing with winning elections in the Western Cape when they could be focusing their resources as well as energies campaigning in other provinces.

In a recent interview on Point of View with Phemelo Motene, De Lille referred Steenhuisen’s ‘outburst’, as something “exactly like a second-hand car salesman, or a saleman who is selling dog shampoo”
“You know you can either use a biblical phrase and say ‘God forgive the fool because he doesn’t know what he is saying’, but for me, I have never really listened to that guy. His outburst was exactly like a second-hand car salesman, or a saleman who is selling dog shampoo, because that’s what he used to do in the past.”

De Lille claimed that Steenhuisen, whom he calls a “fool,” disrespects voters and lacks a fundamental knowledge of democracy.
It’s part of their party’s succession plan, that the Western Cape is a separate country and there’s a big migration of people with money, you must see the retirement village of the communities that they are building there. So now they are saying the Western Cape economy is growing, that 20% growth is still a failure. Yes, I have heard of that, but that poor guy must go and read up on his history, because, between 1948 and 1994, his parents were allowed to vote alone. The majority of people of colour were excluded from voting. We started to vote in 1994, and no one is going to interfere with our choice to vote.”
