The DA, EFF, MK Party and Action SA are all calling for President Cyril Ramaphosa to remove Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni.
Ntshaveni is accused of corruption worth millions of rands.
This comes after it was reported that the Hawks investigation into her role in a corrupt R2.5 million deal was prepared for prosecution.
According to reports, in 2021 the Hawks looked into the minister’s involvement in the erroneous awarding of an R2.5 million contract for accounting consulting services in July 2009, when she was the Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality’s municipal manager.
The EFF said in a statement that Ntshaveni’s role in the alleged corrupt awarding of a tender in Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality, “represents the foundations of what is wrong with local government in South Africa”.
Point of View with Phemelo Motene spoke to DA MP and Spokesperson on State Security Dianne Kohler Barnard and EFF MP, Sinawo Thambo who gave their reaction to the recent revelations pertaining to the Minister.
