A five-year-old kid has reportedly passed away in another suspected case of food poisoning.
The youngster from Diepkloof, Soweto, died on Wednesday, November 20, after consuming snacks purportedly purchased from a foreign national’s spaza shop.
Five-year-old Siyabonga Mnisi was rushed to a nearby clinic Five-year-old Siyabonga Mnisi, where he was pronounced dead, he reportedly had a runny stomach and was vomiting.
According to reports, three additional young boys are in severe condition at the hospital. It’s thought that after eating snacks, the children felt ill as well.

The police have reportedly opened an inquest docket. “The cause of death is unknown at this stage, pending autopsy results,” police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said.
