The South African democratic system has come a long way since the dawn of democracy and with every election cycle, there are new dynamics at play.
One such change dynamic arises when the electorate fails to choose an outright winner, and a coalition government has to be installed.
According to many political analysts, South Africa is almost certainly headed towards an era of coalition politics.
Coalition governments have their pros and cons and require political parties to work together with their different ideologies, and political views to advance the interests of their constituency.
Kaya Drive with Sizwe Dhlomo asked Kaya 959 listeners what their thoughts were on coalition politics in South Africa and whether they thought it worked.
