One thing about parenting, it is not easy!
From bringing a new innocent soul into the world, to learning how to parent, there’s nothing in this world that could ever prepare you for the journey of parenthood.
Despite this, many parents have expressed that the journey of parenthood can be quite fulfilling especially when enjoying the fruits of your labour aka parenting milestones and achievements of your children.
No matter how big, small or difficult to accept, parenting milestones are worth the hype and celebration.
On Feel Good with Andy Maqondwana, Andy asks listeners, specifically parents about the most difficult parenting milestones they had to accept.
One parent gushed about how fast her son has grown.
This year my son is 18-years-old and in Grade 12. Getting ready for his Matric Dance. Just last week he sent me a list of links to universities he wants to apply to. And wow I can’t help but feel like it’s to early to be thinking about that! We can’t be here already guys!
Another listener opened up about how she’s still processing that she’s about to be a grandmother.
There’s three months left till I become a grandmother. I can’t imagine myself as a grandmother.
Another listener shares how the hardest milestone she had to accept is that her 11-year-old son started bing curious about dating.
The hardest milestone I had to accept was that my 11 years old son is dating. A few weeks ago he told me that there was someone that had a crush on him. Luckily it was only for Valentines day!
