A listener shares that she is done having kids. However, her boyfriend, 38, wants to have children. She feels that after having children when she was younger, she doesn’t feel she has the strength to carry children and raise them. She has even suggested to her partner that he impregnate someone else, and she’ll be the stepmother. Reaching out to The Best T in the City with Tbose, she wants to know if she could be missing any blind spots.
“I am a 34-year-old single mother of one who I had when I was very young, and I’m done with having more kids. My son is in matric now, and we live a good life. My boyfriend (38)
has no children, and he is desperate to have a child. I don’t want to have any more children, as I finally have the freedom that comes with having older children.“My boyfriend and I dated in 2014, but we broke up, and we found our way back to each other in mid-2023. I was hoping during our breakup he would have had a child, as I don’t mind being a stepparent to his child. I am feeling the pressure of him wanting a child, and since I’m set on not having more, I suggested he get someone else pregnant, we maintain our relationship because I love him, but I’m not willing to sacrifice myself or my life for this need. I am even thinking of tying my tubes without him knowing. Where is my blind spot?”
