There are people who can’t function in silence, they need background noise.
There has to be something on. Be it the tv, radio, or something playing on the phone with headphones on.
Sometimes those who constantly need background noise could be trying to avoid or distract themselves from unpleasant thoughts. “Is this true for you?”Asks The Best T in the City with Tbose.
A listener attests to this.
“That’s me, I cannot. I don’t know what’s happening to me. My nerves just want to burst if I’m in a quiet place. Even when I was a student, I wouldn’t go to the library because I couldn’t study there.
“I only went to the library when we would have a discussion in a cubicle. After that, I go home and there should be background noise. Even in the office, I cannot function in silence.”

Me and the background noise re so🤞🏾. It helps me concentrate especially studying. Busy with assignments, or I could be reading a book even at work I always have my radio on because that little break to sing along or reminisce gives much needed mind relieve. #ICantStandSilence
