Pure marketing genius or temporary hype? PRIME Energy drink’s prices have drastically dropped since its much talked about release to the South African market last year.
PRIME Energy promoted by Logan Paul and KSI was one of the most talked about energy drinks in the country in 2023, with many South Africans just queuing to taste the drink.

It all started when there was pandemonium on social media when a 500ml bottle was revealed to be between R400 – R700 per pop, which instantly trended on social media.

Before long, parents were using social media to criticize the expensive fad that their kids were following without realizing that they were adding to the hype.
This led to retail stores stocking up on the drink, which was followed by a marketing campaign that was well publicized.
Images from a South African retail store show that PRIME Energy drink is now selling for around R10 on special. Social media users are now asking what happened to the popularity of the energy drink.
